September 29, 2022Carlo Cervia defended his PhD!
November 18, 2022Dr. med. Carlo Cervia, a MD-PhD student in our lab, studies post-acute coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) syndrome (PACS). Together with colleagues, he developed a scoring system to predict PACS. He was now interviewed by the Digitalization Initiative of the Zurich Higher Education Institutions (DIZH), which contributed to the project funding.
In a recent publication, Cervia et. al highlighted the benefits of measuring Immunoglobulin signatures for the early identification of patients at high risk for PACS. Their PACS score facilitates the study of targeted treatment and pathomechanisms of PACS.
Patients and Physicians can calculate a PACS score using a webapplication.
